tomorrow's the teachers' day celebration. our class thought we won't be on stage, besides the video and the singing. then yesterday they (the teachers' day comm) told us that 5A2 backed out from the performance and the sec 1 prefects' performance was so bad that they decided to take them out. then they gave us 8 minutes to perform. what crap is that! tell us we are not in and now make us their backup programme! what's wrong with them! what do they take us as? luckily, we had our saviour, meranda! she made the fabulous video! as for the little skit we have on ms valence, they were practising just now. i think they will be fine. huh. i'm just too lazy to update anymore things! lol. lazy bum, ain't i? official start of prelim date will be 9th september. haix. i have to pull up my socks!

me eliz, jess, cheryl, weix, charlotte, grace and one extra person, wenjun, went to celebrate sharon's birthday yesterday, though her birthday is like 2 weeks away? lol. we decided to celebrate it early. yesterday was supposed to be the outing with the ri people for celebration of the performance, but due to many reasons, it was cancelled. (oh wells.) then we changed it to a pioneer-senior-junior gathering cum birthday celebration for sharon. we (excluding sharon and wenjun) went to j8 at 6pm. we went to buy the cake (tiramisu) from sweet secrets, then went back to mrt to wait for wenjun and sharon. we went to cafe cartel to eat. wenjun was in his uniform and he was shunning everyone who can identify him. so funny. eating and eating. and we gave sharon a surprise by popping her with a cake. haha. after dinner we went to take neoprints, then jess suddenly realised she lost her wallet. we couldn't find it, so we took neoprints first. after taking, we went down to cafe cartel again. luckily her wallet was found by some nice people sitting around there. all ended well. we went to macs to accompany wenjun to eat. while he was eating, we took a video of him. so comical! so sad, we cannot upload, as he didn't allow. it's a potential youtube video. haha. then we went home. so fun! lol. tomorrow's english prelim. wish me luck everyone! p.s. below are some pictures we took!

this whole week we are having our common tests. (yuck!) and next week will be our prelim practical exams. how time flies! haiz...i don't seem to have done much revision as i was busy revising for tests instead. my life seems to be revolving only around books. *grins. today, i deliebrately miss the earlier 136 bus to take the later one. i wanted to take my chances of meeting katherine to ask for the keychain for committee members. i just know that the probability of meeting her is quite low, even pei san, who is in her school. lol. but thank god, i met her. that's the good news. however the bad news is, the keychain was lost a few generations ago! hahahaha...so nice. i informed hazel and erena to prepare memento to replace the keychain. i guess i have to make the certificates for the new comm members too. great! more work to do on top of my revision! lol.
prelims coming. i guess i should really buck up. wish me luck people!

taken from william shakespeare's twelfth night. i realised i still love twelfth night. the love and disguise and the entertaining parts with sir andrew and sir toby and malvolio with his yellow stockings, cross-gartered! lol. i love it. entertaining. though the play is supposedly to be a comedy, we still see hints of various dark sides in it, example, sadism and how manipulative people are, for their own entertainment and for carpe diem. i seem to be able to connect the story even with the modern people. probably we can say humans do not change the weaknesses we have, probably, the work of the devil. anyway we enjoy books when we think and ponder over it. books bring new perspectives and new ideas. power of language can never be undermined or despised. language can be as manipulative as it can be. because of language, our life is so exciting and unexpected. it brings colours and flavours to life, like how esters does to our food. seen from shakespeare's works, we know how manipulative words are, captivating us, bringing us from one world to another, like a never ending journey.
have you ever felt this way, that you actually feel sad when a book ends, and when one book ends, you crave for another? i have. but seldom for the fictions, novels, but mostly comics. (oops) but i do have experiences with books like this. to me, they are exceptionally good books which keep my memory fresh with its enchanting stories and world. i think the books i read now are rubbish. nothing goes in my head. i think i didn' t pay much attention to the books i'm reading now. i don't know why, but i really feel very sad for myself. :( i should love books. but i don't seem to have time for it. probably i have been making excuses for not reading. furthermore, books are expensive! lol. love to have loads of books where i can choose from. sorta miss quite a few of the childhood books that accompanied me through my childhood times when i was young (when i wasn't using the pc yet *grins).words! surround me! lol.
